Georgina Wins Namesake STEM Award

On the weekend, our Student Pathways Leader Ms. Tiff Evans received an email from Professor Catherine Stampfl from the School of Physics at The University of Sydney. The message explained that Georgina Millard (PLHS Class of 2024) is the recipient of a Georgina Sweet Regional and Remote STEM Award.
The University of Sydney grants up to four of these Georgina Sweet STEM Awards per year; worth $3,875 each, they are given to outstanding female Year 12 students from regional Australia to assist them in attending university in a STEM-related discipline. (Our) Georgina has been offered a place in the Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Advanced) course at The University of Adelaide.
We congratulate (our) Georgina and her family on this wonderful achievement and look forward to charting her progress in the coming years.
