International Students Swim with Sea Lions
Yesterday morning, three of our four international students – Carolina Dalfen (Austria), Pauline Gandon (France) and Alessandro Mazzocchi (Italy) – enjoyed a fantastic Swim with Sea Lions experience courtesy of Adventure Bay Charters.
In perfect smooth, sunny conditions, the Shark Warrior powered down to Hopkins Island, delighting in the company of dolphins and white-bellied sea eagles along the way. The lucky passengers then spent the next hour or so in the water interacting with some very playful “puppies of the sea”.
This event was arranged as a way of thanking our international students for choosing to study at Port Lincoln High School this year – sincere thanks to Carolina’s host parents Matt Hamnett and Jodi Schulz for accompanying the trio. Our fourth international student – Lorenz Fedeli (Germany) – is hoping to take the tour with his Marine Operations class later this semester.
On behalf of Port Lincoln High School, I wish to publicly thank Matt and Tracy Waller from Adventure Bay Charters – once again, they (and their wonderful staff both in the office and on board) have provided a highly memorable experience for our international students.
