PLHS to Celebrate Footy Colours Day

Port Lincoln High School will be celebrating Footy Colours Day 2020 on Friday October 16th.
The Fight Cancer Foundation’s Footy Colours Day is a national fundraising campaign which helps kids with cancer. These young people need our help more than ever – kids with cancer are especially vulnerable to COVID-19, and are facing prolonged isolation due to their weakened immune system.
Our SRC will be running the event at lunchtime on Friday 16th October (Week 1, Term 4). All staff and students are encouraged to wear their team colours – they might be from the AFL, NRL, NFL, NBA, Pony Club, Tennis Club, A-League, Dance company… what evs! Just wear your team colours to show some support.
The day will include a staff vs. senior students footy match, a longest kick competition and a watermelon-eating contest. All will have prizes and the winning team will be able to proudly hold up the inaugural perpetual Footy Colours Day Shield.
We will also have a BBQ with steak sandwiches, snags with onion, and drinks, which is where the fundraising will come in. Prices will be confirmed soon.
