NAPLAN 2023
Port Lincoln High School is participating in NAPLAN testing again this year.
NAPLAN (National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) is a series of tests focused on basic skills that are administered annually to Australian students. At PLHS, we value the importance of the tests to provide us with the necessary data to help your child be as successful as possible.
NAPLAN tests the sorts of skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life, such as reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy. It is important to remember that NAPLAN is not about passing or failing, but about assessing learning progress.
We hope that you will encourage your student/s to participate and do their best.
Testing Dates: Wednesday 15th March ~ Monday 27th March 2023
NAPLAN is comprised of tests in the four areas (or ‘domains’) of:
writing
reading
language conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation)
numeracy
Please contact the school 8683 6000 if you wish to withdraw your student from participating and Withdrawal forms will be available at the front office. Please ring or call in.
