What is Crew?
At PLHS, Crew is more than a program, it is our culture.
It underpins everything we do and defines how we connect, learn and grow together. Through Crew, we foster a collaborative and supportive school community where every student feels a strong sense of belonging and purpose.
Crew is our commitment to developing the whole person; we achieve this by:
-
facilitating morning and afternoon "Dharna Crew" sessions to build reflective practice, foster relationships, set goals, and support each other's learning
-
developing a sense of belonging and accountability amongst students, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own and each other's success
-
integrating character education and social-emotional learning into Crew sessions to foster resilience, gratitude, empathy, and mindfulness
-
initiating ‘Crew Conversations’, ensuring that every student has a voice, feels valued, and understands their role in contributing to a positive school community
-
utilising the principles of Crew to activate the notion of ‘The Last Three Feet’, the crucial zone of personal communication and face-to-face interaction
Crew embodies our school values of Responsible, Respectful and Inclusive.
WE ARE CREW!
