2020 School Year Commences

Over 740 students commenced the 2020 school year at Port Lincoln High School earlier today, either at our main site on Ruskin Road or at our Transition Learning Centre campus on Edinburgh Street. Around 150 of these students are our new Year 8’s – we wish them a warm welcome to our school community. Similarly, we are delighted to welcome many new students from other schools (including interstate and international) for 2020.
Day 1 began with a whole school assembly in the Gym, where the student body was addressed by our Principal Mr. Todd George. After briefly spending some time in sub-school or year level groups, students moved off to their first Dharna Group (home class) session for 2020. After Recess, our new timetable structure kicked into gear with students attending their scheduled lessons.
A reminder that school finishes at 3:10pm each day (except Wednesdays – 2:40pm), with classes commencing at 8:40am each morning.
