A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL (re: latest COVID-19 restrictions)
We have received the following information/advice from the Department for Education’s Chief Executive, Mr Rick Persse:
- Port Lincoln High School will remain open as normal; we will support vulnerable families as necessary
- Our Year 12 Formal will proceed as planned tomorrow (Tuesday) evening at the Port Lincoln Racecourse; we will support any Year 12 student who is uncomfortable in attending (ticket refund); families must drop their student at the gates of the Port Lincoln Racecourse between 6:15 and 6:30pm; PLHS staff will be there to greet them; the Formal will conclude at 9:30pm
- Our Year 12 Award Ceremony will proceed on Wednesday evening, but will be staged on the Stamford Floor at PLHS (not the Nautilus Theatre) and without any parent/caregivers or invited guests in attendance – only Year 12 students and PLHS staff will be able to attend; students are asked to arrive at the Stamford Floor between 6:15 and 6:30pm; the event will live streamed on Microsoft Teams from 7pm for families to view
