Four Students Attend Rural Youth Ambassador Forum

Last Friday, four PLHS students (pictured above L-R) Tanayah D’Agostini, Evie Gamlin, Zoe van-Overdijk and Alexis Anderson – travelled to Wudinna to participate in a regional Rural Youth Ambassador Forum. This event saw representatives from several Eyre Peninsula schools meet to a hold a range of engaging and inspiring conversations, particularly focussed on problems faced by schools around our region.
Similar forums have been run across the state by this year’s Rural Youth Ambassadors, who represent the 20,000 young people in regional South Australia. Their dedication and planning came to fruition to enable the EP ambassadors to meet, share and challenge issues that they face as a rural student.
The schedule for the forum was based on the state-wide program; as a current Rural Youth Ambassador, our own Zoe van-Overdijk was chosen as one of the Wudinna presenters.
Congratulations to Zoe, Tanayah, Evie and Alexis on your initiative and engagement with this important program – we look forward to hearing about your ideas for positive change in the near future.
