Year 8’s Experience Intro to Outdoor Ed
During their last few weeks of lessons, our Year 8 HPE class have participated in an introduction to Outdoor Education (including water safety) held in the Lincoln National Park and down at the foreshore. This unit was planned and supervised by student teacher Miss Lauren Routledge under the guidance of HPE teacher Miss Jasmine Woldt.
Students hiked to the top of Stamford Hill and undertook water rescues to support their classroom learning about the safety of recreational activities. They also developed skills in leadership and how to minimise their environmental impact.
