Poetry Success for Kobe and Lucas
Last week, two of our Year 11 students – Kobe Dodd and Lucas Retallick – flew to Adelaide to attend the launch of the Create4Adelaide exhibition, part of the 2024 Adelaide Festival.
Kobe and Lucas (accompanied by proud parent Tegan Bullock) were invited to the official opening function at the Bicentennial Conservatory, as they both had poems selected as part of the exhibition; these were composed and submitted during SAASTA language workshops with Shania Richards last year.
You can hear Kobe and Lucas reciting their poems via the following link: Create4Adelaide Poems – Adelaide Festival
Congratulations to Kobe, Lucas and their families on this fantastic achievement. By all accounts, the boys have had a fabulous time at the launch and represented themselves and their school with distinction; they received lots of high praise from the organisers and other exhibiting artists about their work.
