Next Generation of Community Leaders to Bloom at PLHS
Earlier today, Port Lincoln High School proudly launched Bloom Leadership, a program designed to empower and inspire the next generation of school and community leaders. Led by Tom Jonas, former captain of the Port Adelaide Football Club, and Natalie Von Bertouch, former captain of the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Australian Diamonds, the program offers an exceptional opportunity for a select group of students identified as future leaders of our school.
Bloom Leadership consists of five structured sessions, each aimed at developing and enhancing leadership capabilities. In the opening session, students were introduced to Tom Jonas and Johann Wagner, a local football mentor and coach. Together, they facilitated meaningful discussions exploring various leadership styles, highlighted the qualities of leaders that students admire, and encouraged participants to reflect on how they aspire to lead others.
This first session set a strong foundation for the program, fostering a supportive environment in which students can grow and challenge themselves. Port Lincoln High School is excited to see the impact of Bloom Leadership on our young people and looks forward to the contributions they will make as leaders within our PLHS crew and wider community.
