Sixty Students Represent PLHS at Netball Carnival
On Wednesday May 22nd, approximately sixty PLHS students (across all six year levels) attended a School Sport SA Netball Carnival held at the Ravendale Sporting Complex. This large annual event hosts ten schools from around the region, from Ceduna to Cowell and everywhere in between.
Our coaches (Ms. Sara Duncan, Mrs. Kylie George, Ms. Jordan Sladdin and myself) were all very impressed with the spectacular skills and efforts of our talented students over the course of the day. We thank Nadia Rusden and Tayla Kropinyeri for joining us as official umpires; we greatly appreciate your support.
Our two Year 7/8 teams and three Year 9/10 teams all had a wonderful day full of netball fun and catch-ups with friends from all over the Eyre Peninsula. There were some highly competitive games throughout the carnival.
We congratulate our Open Division A Girls team (pictured) who claimed the championship pennant with a hard-fought one-point win over Navigator College in the grand final.
Well done to all involved!
~ Mrs. Yasmin Sampson (Curriculum Leader: HPE, Food & Nutrition, Sport & Integrated Learning)
