F&H Students Present Reconciliation Week Luncheon
Yesterday, our Stage 2 Food & Hospitality students completed their group cultural assessment task by catering and hosting a highly successful luncheon on the Commercial Kitchen deck.
The patrons on this occasion were thirteen (very fortunate) PLHS staff members – they had each been invited by the Year 12’s to celebrate National Reconciliation Week with a three-course meal featuring Indigenous ingredients. The luncheon was held this week due to several of our F&H students being in Adelaide last week for the SAASTA Power Cup Carnival.
On the delicious menu that the students prepared and presented were smoked barramundi vol-au-vents, kangaroo tail on a bed of mashed potato, and quandong tart with cinnamon myrtle ice cream.
Our students did a fantastic job and should be very proud of their efforts.
~ Mrs. Nicola Baldissera (F&H Teacher)
