2025 Subject Selections – Info for Senior Students

Over recent weeks, our current Year 10 and 11 students have been working with their Dharna Group teachers to explore pathways through school and beyond using the Student Pathways website: https://studentpathways.sa.edu.au/ (students log in to ‘MyCareerPortal’ using their EdID).
Senior students have also been discussing their options and most appropriate choices through each learning area with their individual subject teachers.
Specifically, students have been advised to complete the ‘Exploring Pathways’ and ‘Senior Subject Selection’ Career Journeys via the Student Pathways website, which provides valuable information about the SACE, VET, Higher Education and School-Based Apprenticeships. It is important for students to attend Dharna Group each morning for support with this process.
Information about all of the individual subjects available at Port Lincoln High School can be accessed via our Online Curriculum Guide: https://plhs.sa.edu.au/plhs-curriculum/.
Additional information about studying the SACE can be accessed via the SACE website: https://www.sace.sa.edu.au/studying.
During Weeks 5 and 6 (August 19th – 30th), PLHS students will select their subjects/courses for 2025. Each student will meet with a member of the Senior School team to discuss their choices and plan for success in 2025 and beyond.
We encourage conversations to be continuing at home and invite students to include a parent/significant adult in their upcoming subject selection meeting. Bookings for specific times regarding subject selection can be made directly via Daymap. Once a time is booked, a member of the Senior School team will be allocated to facilitate the meeting. Please book quickly so that you do not miss out on your preferred time. Students who have not booked a time will have a meeting time allocated to them.
