Next week (August 17-23) is Book Week for 2024 – this year’s theme is ‘Reading is Magic’. The following activities have been planned for PLHS students and staff next week:
- STAFF & STUDENT DRESS UP DAY – Thursday August 22 with judging at lunchtime in the Resource Centre at 1pm
- BOOK OF THE YEAR – guess which of the short-listed titles will win this year (guessing box on front counter in RC)
- GUESS THE SHREDDED BOOK competition
- COLOURING-IN competition – daily lunchtime activity
- BOOK PROMOTION with a range of genres and titles that we believe represent this year’s theme
Students are encouraged to get involved – let’s see who can out-dress their teacher! LOTS OF PRIZES up for grabs! Gold coin donation to SRC to go towards fundraising efforts if you choose to dress up.
