Year 7 Maths Class Creates Geometricity
During Term 4, my Year 7F Maths class designed and built a city as part of their Geometry unit. This project-based learning task – known as Geometricity – assisted students to understand the concept of learner agency, to effectively collaborate in teams and to successfully demonstrate their mathematical knowledge.
At the end of Week 8, the students exhibited their city and project work to staff and their peers. The participating students spoke positively about their learnings and successes.
