Max Wins Cross Country Running Camps at Tcharkuldu
On Thursday May 29th, the following eleven PLHS students travelled to Tcharkuldu Rock near Minnipa, for the 2025 West Coast Cross Country Run, hosted by Karcultaby Area School:
- Nicolas Atkins
- Jesse Baldock
- Kaden Durdin
- Evie Gamlin
- Ruby Gamlin
- Alex Gardiner
- Zara Greatbatch
- Max Rodda
- Ashley Sizer
- Lincoln Stelzer-Linn
- Angus Stoakes
Accompanied by two staff members – Mrs. Caitlin Wellfare and Ms. Alyssa Siebert – our crew was greeted by perfect weather and a great atmosphere at this well-organised annual event. The high school division requires competitors to complete a 5km track through the surrounding scrub and over rocky granite outcrops.
PLHS Year 12 student Max Rodda won the senior boys event in a blistering time under twenty minutes. He was also part of the victorious senior boys team, along with Kaden Durdin, Alex Gardiner and Jesse Baldock.
There were some other great individual results amongst our squad, with all PLHS students displaying great determination and sportsmanship throughout the day – congratulations to all involved and thank you to Alyssa for joining us.
~ Mrs. Caitlin Welfare (Accompanying Teacher)
