End-of-term Activities for Year 8 Crew

During yesterday’s long Dharna session, our Year 8 students had the opportunity to sign up for and participate in one of six fun activities – Art, Cooking, Games, Golf, Quiz or VR. These were offered as a way of rewarding the group for successfully making it to the end of Term 2.
Despite the frosty conditions on the Oval, the twenty eager golfers performed strongly, quickly improving their skills with some basic coaching. Winners of the “Nearest the Teacher” competition were Lacey Cullen (centre) and Nixon McKie (right), while Jobe Nielsen (left) claimed the “Most Improved” prize – they are pictured here with Mr. Shaun Thomas (Activity Leader).
The Year 8 Dharna Crew Leaders (who organised and delivered the activities) were impressed with positive engagement levels from their respective groups – hopefully, a similar opportunity presents itself later in the year.
