PLHS Old Scholars’ Association (Announcement 1/3)

On the evening of Friday August 15th, Port Lincoln High School will proudly revive its Old Scholars’ Association with an official (re)launch event to be held at the Port Lincoln Hotel.
As demonstrated in this West Coast Recorder newspaper clipping from Tuesday March 8th, 1927, the first iteration of our Old Scholars’ Association commenced a mere four years after the school was first founded.
It continued until 1942, before a brief hiatus during the final years of the Second World War. It was revived in 1946 and ran for another twenty years or so. We are unsure why it stopped around 1966, but nevertheless, we are delighted to revive it once more in 2025.
* We thank Old Scholar Chris Mantle and the Port Lincoln History Group for this timeline.
