Year 8/9 Boys Cricket at Tumby Bay

During Term 1, we held our annual cricket match against Tumby Bay Area School in Tumby Bay. The challenge involved two T/20 matches.
In the first game, we played against Tumby Bay 1. We lost the toss, they batted first and batted really well to make 108. Our wicket takers were Z.Hearfield, H.Francis, T.Letton, J.Clements and T.Sincock. It was our turn to bat and we made 73, giving Tumby Bay 1 a convincing win. Port Lincoln High had a few batters retire including T.Sincock and I.Morton, with Sincock and F.Chatfield each hitting a six also.
After the lunch break, we played Tumby Bay 2. Port Lincoln High lost the toss and bowled first. We bowled exceptionally well, bowling them out for 77. The wicket takers were I.Morton, F.Chatfield, A.Davies and J.Cocks. We passed their score in the 17th over. T.Sincock retired on 30 and J.Cocks and C.Berryman also retired not out. Z.Hearfield and T.Sincock hit a six each.
Overall, the day was an awesome experience. It was a lot of fun to play against Tumby Bay. Everyone really enjoyed it. Thanks to Mr. McGown and Paechy for driving us up there and scoring/umpiring.
