A Broad and Inclusive Curriculum

As the largest high school on the Eyre Peninsula, our vast assortment of subject offerings caters for a variety of post-schooling alternatives, from university and other forms of tertiary education, to trade and employment pathways

A Wealth of Opportunities

PLHS students develop their intellectual, physical, emotional and social capacities through a myriad of stimulating and challenging curricular and extra-curricular activities (leadership, community, creative, sporting etc.)

A Diverse and Rich Student Community

We provide educational opportunities to students and families from a wide variety of cultural, socio-economic and religious backgrounds, creating an inclusive school community that is characteristic of modern Australian society

Passionate and Committed Staff

A unique combination of young, dynamic staff supported by a group of experienced, long-serving staff, the PLHS staff possess a wealth of subject expertise and strive to develop positive teacher-student relationships

A History of Academic Success

With a strong focus on academic pathways (regularly resulting in ATAR scores in high nineties), many of our students have gone on to serve our state and local community with distinction

Support for Disengaged Students

We maintain a highly successful off-campus Transition & Learning Centre (TLC) to cater for students who have disengaged from mainstream learning; this alternative utilises local Regional Training Organisations to assist participants to complete their SACE and prepare for the workforce.
