Year 7’s Strive for 5-a-side Soccer Success

On Monday, PLHS sent two teams (one boys/one girls) to Tumby Bay Area School to participate in the annual Year 7 5 a-side soccer carnival. Packed with future Socceroo and Matilda players, our teams took to the pitch with enthusiasm and great sportsmanship.
The girls won three out of their four games, improving greatly with every match they played, finishing a credible third overall for the competition. The boys looked like they’d been a team for a couple of seasons already; they played some great games, winning three out of five (with several close results) and ultimately finished in second place.
It was a fantastic day out; we would like to thank the organisers and the other schools involved. Looking forward to seeing you in 2024!
~ Mrs. Nicole Cunningham (Accompanying Teacher)
