Coming Soon: 2023 PLHS Governing Council AGM
Happy 100th birthday, Port Lincoln High School!
A happy welcome to all continuing and new Port Lincoln High School families as we begin the 2023 school year. What an exciting year ahead with school re-commencing on Monday 30th January 2023. On January 30th 1923, PLHS opened its doors for the first time to students and so marks one hundred years of continuous service to youth, their education, life aspirations and pursuits.
Public education is founded on parent and community voice and decision-making; as the elected parent/community body, your Governing Council models the school’s motto “Non Nobis Solum” (Not for Ourselves Alone) by working with the school in the interests of all students for their learning and pathways.

Parent and community involvement makes for a strong school, and we encourage and invite your interest, support and participation. Our first meeting will follow the AGM, scheduled for 6:30pm on Wednesday February 15th in the School’s Specialist Building (adjacent to Ruskin Road) – a time to touch base, affirm directions and priorities, and hopefully, to welcome new members. So please come along, test the waters and meet our fellow Governing Councillors.
The attached flyer provides some information about what the Governing Council does. You can express your interest by phoning Rachael Boyce at the school on 8683-6000.
Kind regards,
Brian Gabb (Chairperson) & the PLHS Governing Council Team
