Minister Scriven Visits PLHS Aquaculture Centre
Port Lincoln High School was privileged to receive a visit earlier today from the South Australian Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, the Hon. Clare Scriven MLC.
Minister Scriven was given a tour of our industry-standard Aquaculture Trade Training Centre, guided by Aquaculture teacher Mr. Chris McGown, Mathematics & Science Senior Leader Miss Rebecca Paterson and Student Pathways Leader Ms. Tiffany Evans. The Minister was shown all facets of our aquaculture program, where our students learn how to grow and prepare barramundi for the restaurant table – she even had a go and feeding the barra in one of the grow-out tanks.
We thank the Minister for her visit and hope that she found it informative and enjoyable.
