PLHS to Turn Yellow Tomorrow for “R U Ok? Day”
R U OK? is an Australian suicide prevention charity. Their mission is to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and to support anyone struggling with life.
The 2021 national day of action (R U OK? Day) is Thursday September 9th (tomorrow). Once again, thanks to our SRC and Wellbeing teams, PLHS will be getting involved (as we have been all week), promoting this year’s message: “Are they really OK? Ask them today.”
Our students are encouraged to participate tomorrow in any/all of the following activities:
- Casual Clothes Day (yellow theme)
- Sausage Sizzle & Jelly Cups (lunchtime/Amphitheatre)
- PLPS/PLHS School Band (lunchtime/Amphitheatre)
- Making Friendship Bracelets ((lunchtime/Resource Centre)
The week will conclude with a staff versus students netball match in the Gym.
