PLHS Welcomes Seven New Teachers
Port Lincoln High School has welcomed seven new teachers to our main site staff for 2024.
We asked them all to complete a brief profile in order to introduce themselves to our school community – we thank them all for sharing their details below (listed in photo caption order).

* My name is… Mrs. Nicola Baldissera.
My role at PLHS in 2024 is… teaching Food & Hospitality.
Last year, I was… on maternity leave.
When I’m not at school, I like to… be present with my young family, be at the beach, play netball and cook up a feast.
* My name is… Mrs. Kylie George.
My role at PLHS in 2024 is… to teach Food Technology and Design.
Last year, I was… working at Cummins Area School.
When I’m not at school, I like to… be creative, be out and about with friends and family, and garden.
* My name is… Mr. Sam Hartwell.
My role at PLHS in 2024 is… to teach Design & Technologies and HASS.
Last year, I was… a Senior Design & Engineering Teacher at Tyndale Christian School in Salisbury East and an OSHC Educator.
When I’m not at school, I like to… play Gridiron, go fishing and spend time at the gym.
* My name is… Mr. Sam Edwardes.
My role at PLHS 2024 is… teaching Science and PE across the Special Options classes.
Last year, I was… working at Urrbrae High School in Adelaide.
When I’m not at school, I like to… surf, fish and watch the footy (I’m too old to play myself now).
* My name is… Ms. Sara Duncan.
My role at PLHS in 2024 is… to teach Maths to Years 8, 9 and 10.
Last year, I was… working with people who have mental ill health.
When I’m not at school, I like to…play with my LEGO (especially my Technic LEGO), box and garden.
* My name is… Mr. Nathan Patterson.
My role at PLHS in 2024 is… teaching HPE.
Last year, I was… teaching in Geelong (Victoria) for Semester 1, then I was on long service leave travelling around Australia in Semester 2.
When I’m not at school, I like to… surf and explore the outdoors with my wife and two kids, and support the Bombers!
* My name is… Miss Mallory Ford.
My role at PLHS in 2024 is… Middle School English and LINC teacher.
Last year, I was… working at Port Lincoln High School and the Transition Learning Centre.
When I’m not at school, I like to… swim and learn to play golf.
