Reminder: “Adopt-a-Barra” Pick-up This Wednesday

This Wednesday (November 26th) Adopt-a-Barra patrons are reminded to please come to the PLHS Aquaculture Centre (access via Oxford Terrace) between 8am and 3pm to claim your fish and prizes. Please follow the signs leading to the back of the Aquaculture Shed.
We are delighted to announce the following three “adoptive parents” as winners of the prizes generously donated by Seamaster Fishing Supplies here in Port Lincoln:
- Mark Calverley has won three fishing lures, with his fish “Guppy” the First Fish Caught (out of the tank for processing)
- Quentin Ralph claimed the Largest Fish prize, with his fish “Tony” weighing in at an impressive total of 750 grams; Quentin has won a fishing rod and reel combo
- Mayor Diana Mislov has won a filleting knife for the Last Fish Out (of the tank to be processed) with her fish called “Mark”
Congratulations to our three prize winners and sincere thanks to our program partners Jamie Crawford and Seamaster Fishing Supplies for their ongoing support.
Thanks also to all who have participated in our unique “Adopt-a-Barra” program in 2025; looking forward to 2026.
Best fishes,
From the PLHS Year 11 Aquaculture Class
