Semester 1 Award Winners Announced

This image will be published in tomorrow’s Port Lincoln Times as part of our regular fortnightly PLHS Newsletter page – it features the school photos of 151 students who earned an Academic Award for their Semester 1 studies.
These awards are derived from grade point averages (GPA) which are calculated for each student. A GPA score of 4 indicates an A grade for each subject. There are two categories of Academic Awards:
- Academic Excellence awards recognise students who have achieved a GPA of more than 3.5 (with no D or E grades) across all of their Semester 1 subjects
- Meritorious Effort awards recognise students who have achieved a GPA of at least 3 (with no D or E grades) across all of their Semester 1 subjects
Normally, these awards would have been announced at a whole school assembly – ongoing COVID restrictions have made this impossible in recent weeks.
Congratulations to all 151 students (listed below); we are very proud of your achievements. By way of a comparison, the corresponding number this time last year was 144 students.
The image also includes the photos of seventeen students who earned School Values Awards for Semester 1 (also listed below) – we congratulate these students for upholding our three school values of Responsible, Inclusive & Respectful.
