SRC Delivers Men’s Health Week Activity

Earlier today, our Principal Student Leaders and SRC representatives held a lunchtime activity on the Stamford Floor to acknowledge Men’s Health Week 2021. The event highlighted the importance of males accessing the various health services available here in Port Lincoln, including mental health facilities.
All students (not just the boys) were invited to attend, with information, games, invited guests, prizes and lolly bags on offer. The school’s Wellbeing Team were also present to touch base with students and provide support where necessary.
Principal Student Leader Ned Moxey said: “Our event addressed the awareness and use of local mental health services. Many pamphlets were given out to help target the negative stigma behind mental illness, and to promote interaction and discussion between peers and staff.”
Kudos to our SRC for organising this worthwhile initiative and well done to all in attendance for their positive participation.
