WASSAC Success for PLHS Athletes

Congratulations to the student athletes who represented Port Lincoln High School at the 2023 Western Area Secondary Schools Athletics Carnival (WASSAC) earlier this week. The team travelled to Ceduna on Monday and competed in the highly competitive annual interschool competition the following day – we placed third overall, second in the handicap division and first in the relay award.
Our team was coached and accompanied by Miss Tayla Helbig, Mr. Josh Partington, Miss Abbey Degner and Miss Cayley Baldwin – the participating students greatly appreciated the effort these staff put in.
Following WASSAC, our EP Regional Sport Coordinator Ms. Shannon Nagel, selected a Far West team who will travel to Adelaide on Sunday April 2nd to compete in the Secondary School Sport Athletics Carnival the next day at SANTOS Stadium.
Further congratulations to the following PLHS students on the huge athletic achievement in making the Far West team; we wish them all the best for next week’s state carnival.
