Year 9 Boys Compete at First MTB Championships

Earlier this month, five PLHS Year 9 boys travelled to Adelaide to compete in the 2023 Schools MTB (Mountain Bike) Championships in Blackwood; well done to (pictured L-R) Leo Sheehy, Beau Hood, Liam Rogers, Christian Farrow and Jesse Baldock.
Our boys were split into two teams; they entered the hotly contested Year 9/10 division, where they raced 76 other school teams, many with considerably more experience than our rookies. Beau/Christian claimed an impressive 11th place, while Leo/Liam/Jesse finished a creditable 56th.
Congratulations to all five boys (and their supportive families) on a highly competitive first attempt at this challenging competition – we hope you can all get back there next year and again represent PLHS with pride.
