Year 9 P.L.A.C.E. Class Collaborates with Tiny TAFE

Our Year 9 P.L.A.C.E. (Port Lincoln Art Centre Enterprise) class recently presented five circular murals to the staff and students at Tiny TAFE as part of a Reconciliation Action Plan collaboration. The P.L.A.C.E. students developed designs in small groups (some were based on drawings from the Tiny TAFE students) and created mural ‘dots’ depicting local animals, their food sources or patterns showing a connection with the animals.
On a subsequent visit to Tiny TAFE, the works were presented, and all students discussed what they could see and shared stories about the animals. The students at Tiny TAFE chose the placement of the mural ‘dots’; they will be attached to the outside of the building in the children’s play area for use in outside learning activities. Our students were then invited to enjoy an afternoon tea.
