Year 9’s to EXPLORE Careers Next Term

A message for Year 9 students and parent/caregivers…
We are excited to again be able to promote the EXPLORE Career & Industry Immersion Event, aimed at Year 9’s to gain valuable knowledge regarding a wide variety of career options and pathways available to them.
Coordinated via UniHub, the event occurs over three days next term and is held here in Port Lincoln – our Year 9’s have been allocated Tuesday June 3rd (Week 6) to attend sessions for the day.
I have attached the program and event information – Year 9 students will be asked during their Week 1 Wednesday Dharna session to choose the sessions that they would like to attend. They will get two choices per session to try to ensure that if an event is to fill up, they will be allocated another session that they are interested in. Many of the sessions run twice in the day. Please peruse the attached program carefully and discuss what you/your student may want to attend prior to choosing in Week 1 next term.
There is also a Career Expo being held between 2-6pm at the Port Lincoln Hotel on June 4th for the general public.
We look forward to this great opportunity for our students.
~ Ms. Tiff Evans (Student Pathways)
